As California's Oldest Continuing Theatre, we are very happy and excited to be back with in-person performances, marking the start of our historic 94th Season! Our board of directors is committed to maintaining practices that will allow our spaces to be as safe as possible for audiences, performers, and crews. To that end, we will require all persons attending any BCT show to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, having at least 14 days since your final vaccine dose. We will require you to present a photo ID and proof of vaccination for all persons in your party in order to attend a performance. Your proof of vaccination may be your paper vaccination card or a digital record showing the date(s) of your vaccination shot(s). All California residents may request a digital vaccination record at MyVaccineRecord.cdph.ca.gov.
Patrons who are unvaccinated for any reason will be required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before the performance you plan to attend. Please check that your testing provider is giving you the PCR test because it gives the most accurate results.
Performers, staff, and crew members for all productions are required to provide proof of vaccination before they may attend any rehearsal or performance.
We require masks to be worn by all persons on our premises when inside our box office, theatre, or green room. Only on-stage performers may be without masks during the show.
If you have purchased advance tickets for a performance and find yourself feeling ill on the day of, please stay home. We will be happy to change your tickets to another performance.
Our board gives a collective tip of the hat to our friends at The Empty Space, who are the local pioneers of implementing a similar policy. We are proud to join them in doing our part to provide safe live theatrical entertainment to local audiences.
