Encouraging youth participation in the performing arts is one of our core values, and we love creating opportunities for young performers to grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
Over the past weeks, our Summer Theatre Camp participants (ages 6–12) have explored a variety of performing arts disciplines including music and rhythm, dance, puppetry, ukulele, and musical theatre. Through games, workshops, and rehearsals, they've built new skills, made new friends, and discovered the joy of performing.
Join us as we celebrate their hard work at this special end-of-camp showcase! Family, friends, and community members are all welcome to come cheer on these talented young performers as they share everything they've learned. We can't wait to see you there!

We are delighted to announce auditions for our Summer Youth Theatre production of THE JUNGLE BOOK! (BCTYT is the only local theatre company who makes their summer programs available free of charge to every student accepted to the program.)

Workshop rehearsals will begin on June 18, and will take place downtown in the community hall of St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 2216 17th Street. Rehearsals are Mon-Thu from 9:00am to noon.

In this action-packed adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic jungle adventure, Mowgli grows up believing he's as fierce a wolf as any of the members of his pack. When he learns he's actually a human, he must decide whether to stay with the pack, or return to the human world. He runs off with a group of rowdy Monkeys, who want to make him their leader, but soon realizes that running is not the answer. With the help of Baloo and Bagheera, Mowgli makes his decision. But will he be trained in the Law of the Jungle in time to defeat Shere Khan, the most feared animal of all?
